Isolated and lonely at Christmas

The festive season is a time when people usually get together with loved ones but for many, this can be a very lonely time. We all feel lonely at times – it’s a natural human emotion.

Some of us who experience loneliness are isolated but others are around lots of people. You do not have to be on your own to feel lonely. You might feel lonely while spending time with friends or family – especially if you do not feel understood or cared for by the people around you.

There is no shame in feeling lonely; telling someone about it is an important and liberating step forward. If you want a friendly ear and enjoy a cup of tea in a warm space come to church on Tuesday at 11:00.
